Since 2016
How it started
Marsen Energy was officially founded on 1 July 2016, but the journey began several years earlier while researching an off-grid power system for our own property in regional Western Australia.
At the time, lithium battery technology was still relatively new to the Australian consumer market. What began as a search for the right energy storage solution quickly developed into a fascination with the technology itself.
During that research, one thing became clear: demand for lithium battery technology was growing rapidly, yet very little battery manufacturing was taking place in Australia. That discovery laid the foundation for Marsen Energy.
Built in WA
What we do today
We design and assemble custom lithium-ion battery packs in-house in Western Australia, and supply lithium-ion cells, battery-building consumables and related hardware.
From one-off replacement batteries and prototypes through to ongoing production, we work closely with our customers to develop practical, reliable battery solutions.

Our relationship with Molicel goes beyond supplying their products. We've spent time with the Molicel team in Taiwan, visiting their manufacturing facilities and learning about the technology, quality standards and processes behind their cells. Molicel has also visited Australia, where we introduced their team to customers in Western Australia and the Eastern States.
We source directly from Molicel, so you buy genuine cells with local support and technical expertise.

Supporting innovation across Australia
Our products are used by battery builders, manufacturers, university engineering teams, solar racing programs and technology developers across the country.
Through our support of industry events, engineering programs and emerging technologies, including sponsorship of the AusPEV Championships in Coffs Harbour, we aim to help Australian innovators access world-class battery technology and dependable local support.

Marsen Energy continues to grow alongside the technologies and industries we support. Alongside our lithium-ion cells, battery-building hardware and custom battery solutions, we now build compatible replacement power tool batteries for Makita, DeWalt and Milwaukee 18V tools here in WA, with the same focus on quality, safety and dependable local support.
Our mission remains the same as it was in 2016: to provide high-quality battery products, practical expertise and dependable service while helping Australian businesses, engineers and enthusiasts turn their ideas into working solutions.
