FULL DESCRIPTION

36V 11Ah High Power Carbon GT Electric Skateboard Battery with BMS upgrade uses the class leading Molicel P28A high power cells in a 10S4P configuration to provide up to 120 amps continuous. The nominal voltage is 36V with a charge voltage of 42 volts so it can be charged using Evolves 2A charger or the fast 4A charger. Marsen Energy also sell the 4A fast chargers suitable for this battery. It has an Evolve compatiable BMS for a complete plug and play replacement for your old Evolve battery.

Special requests for different configurations or plug types can easily be arranged to suit custom builds or other brands of skateboards. We can also install a choice of BMS’s to meet your requirements.

Voltage Sag

One of the main issues with the some electric skateboard batteries is voltage sag when under high load such as going up hills. By using a higher rated cell the voltage sag can be reduced.  For a more detailed explanation of voltage sag see Jay Boston’s youtube clip. Voltage Sag

Important Information

Care of your battery – Important Information

  • Do not expose to heat.
  • Never use force to install (insert) Li-ion battery.
  • Do not short (connect) positive and negative battery terminals. Keep battery that is not in use in an insulating container.
  • Store in cool and dry place.
  • Charge fully before first use.
  • Use only a high-quality battery charger.
  • Never completely discharge Li-ion battery.
  • Do not charge unattended unless using an intelligent charger that shuts off at full charge.
  • Do not store your Li-ion batteries fully charged (for extended period).
  • After battery is discharged do not leave it discharged, charge it as soon as possible.

When storing a battery for an extended period, follow the instructions below

  • Keep battery packs in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and flammable materials.
  • Store them at around 40–60% capacity. Avoid storing them fully charged or completely depleted, as this helps reduce stress and long-term degradation of the cells.
  • Lithium-ion batteries naturally self-discharge over time. Check the voltage periodically and recharge if it drops below safe levels to prevent deep discharge damage.
